Aloun Phonvisay, PhD.


Aloun received his PhD in Agricultural Development from the University of Queensland, Australia, with a focus on livestock and livelihoods in rural Laos. He received his Masters of Applied Science in Environmental Science from the University of Sydney, Australia with research on aquatic resources, and received his Bachelors degree in Natural Resource Economics (with honours), also from the University of Sydney. Aloun has worked in various government agencies, including the National Agriculture and Forestry Research Institute (NAFRI) and more recently at the National Institute for Economic Research (NIER). He has experience working in the private sector assisting companies with concession applications.
