ACTING CHAIRPERSON

Lorraine is a wildlife researcher and conservationist specializing in Southeast Asia, where for more than a decade she has worked on wildlife monitoring, research and conservation. She has served on several expert teams of the IUCN Species Survival Commission’s Bear Specialist Group, including a term as Co-Chair of the Sun Bear Expert Team, during which she led the 2017 Sun Bear Red List re-assessment. Lorraine recently spent 18 months as Field Coordinator for the IUCN Saola Working Group, and remains an external adviser to their technical strategy group.
