Tony has over 30 years of experience of using evidence-based approaches to advise and implement wildlife conservation projects and initiatives in Asia, Africa, Australia, and the United States (California).

Based in Bangkok, Thailand, Tony works at the interface between conservation science and applied wildlife management, combining fieldwork, statistical analysis, and technologies (camera-trapping, RS imagery, Cybertracker, SMART) to support the conservation of wildlife populations across Asia.

Among other achievements, he helped organize some of the first multiagency wildlife law enforcement training courses in the region, served as the Subregional Support Officer to the CITES Monitoring the Illegal Killing of Elephants (MIKE) Programme in Southeast Asia, and now leads the SMART Training Taskforce.
